The Melia Bali Villas & Spa Resort’s poverty alleviation project in Karangasem continues with a recently refurbished house being turned over to I Wayan Karyasa in the South Antiga Village. The presentation of the newly renovated house was witnessed by the village chief. The resort’s team presented this “dream house come true” to I Wayan Karyasa and his family. Meliá Bali’s frequent guests, the Richardson family, who have been staying at the Meliá Bali since 1991, joined the resort’s Community Involvement Team to deliver donations to the family. The poverty alleviation project was part of the resort management and staff’s active community involvement.
