Touch from the East
The Spa at the Bulgari Resort, Bali invites guests to experience their new holistic Eastern massage with renowned Thai spa specialist and Reiki practitioner Wanchai Li. From March 16-27, Wanchai will offer unique, tailor-made sessions of Thai massage and Reiki healing.
Born in Chang Mai, Wanchai learned the art of holistic massage at a very young age and showed immediate talent. Initially using his feet, as his hands and body were so small, Wanchai continued his education at the traditional Thai massage school at the Wat Pho temple in Bangkok.
After practicing his unique style of massage at hotel spas in Paris and London, Wanchai now divides his time between teaching at the UK branch of the Wat Pho massage school and offering specialized courses to discerning guests.
While at the Bulgari Resort Bali this month, Wanchai Li will offer a choice of Thai Yoga massage and Therapeutic Thai Massage with herbs. He will also offer individual Reiki healing in private session. Courses are available to resort guests as well as to outside visitors from 10am to 9pm daily from March 16-27. Reservations are recommended.
A "Touch from the East" package that combines accommodation in an Ocean View villa, daily breakfast, a treatment session with Wanchai Li and Reiki healing for two people is available.

4th Daily, Non-Stop
Qatar Airways recently announced the introduction of a fourth daily non-stop flight between Doha and London’s Heathrow airport, taking the airline’s capacity between Qatar and the UK up to 42 services a week. Effective March 30, the new departure from Doha offers passengers more choices of flights to Britain’s busiest airport. The flight will be operated with an Airbus A330 aircraft in a three-class configuration of up to 12 seats in First, 24 in Business and 223 in Economy.
Qatar Airways enters 2008 in buoyant mood with a further expansion of routes, including non-stop flights from Doha to the southern China industrial city of Guangzhou beginning on March 31.

What A Teaser...
As you may notice through an ad in this very edition, as well as on their website's update page, Waterbom Bali is preparing a whole new addition to its opulent range of water thrills.
A slight hint we may derive from a rough design sketch of this new feature, as depicted by the snapshot above, is a vortex-like spin machine (similar to the live-action mechanism of a flusher)... Presumably, this magnificent new structure is to take its place alongside the present Boomerang, and we at Bali & Beyond can only guess that it will also share the same flight of stairs as the Boomerang. Two ways down...
