Karnival Returns
Head of the Community Development Institution of Kuta, Graha Wicaksana, announced the return of Kuta Karnival, scheduled for nine days from October 18-26. This year’s event will be the sixth year and given the motto of “A Celebration of Life” reflecting the nine days of traditional art performances, sunset dances on the beach, sports activities, and an entire bazaar of culinary kiosks located in tents up and down the beach.

Coral Reef Expedition...
Nusa Penida, part of the Global Coral Triangle, has high marine biodiversity including rare species such as mola-mola (oceanic sunfish), manta rays, sea turtles and cetaceans.
The Klungkung regency and the Department of Fisheries (DPPK) together with Yayasan Bahtera Nusantara (YBN), Conservation International Indonesia (CII) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC)-Nusa Penida Program sparked the Nusa Penida Coral Reef Expedition 2008.
The expedition is meant to build a database of coral reefs through surveys of the distribution and condition of coral reefs in all the waters of Nusa Penida.

Atlas South Sea Pearls announces the opening of its fourth retail showroom in Bali, now on Jalan Monkey Forest in Ubud. All Atlas showrooms present the same corporate identity with a clean, light and cool atmosphere evoking images of days spent relaxing by the ocean. The Seminyak Friday Market is to open on September 5 at Fashion Point on Jalan Seminyak No. 63. The market will be open every Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is meant to promote natural and organic products, self-held and self-managed by twenty local cooperatives. Singapore - Denpasar: Fourth
The first arrival of Singapore Airlines' fourth daily flight was celebrated at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport on the first day of August. The addition of a fourth flight on the Singapore-Denpasar route was approved following the signing of a joint agreement between Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia covering code-sharing, joint marketing and promotion, and network development. The Singapore-Denpasar service is being flown by Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
